C.A.R. – PINNED Down

Chloé Raunet’s second album as C.A.R. was released earlier this year to huge acclaim from the likes of DJ Mag, Resident Advisor and Trax Magazine. With Raunet taking on the mantle of producer, singer and songwriter, 'PINNED' refined her palette of glimmering electronics and post-punk angles over 11 tracks of hazy, claustrophobic synth pop. Following in its wake, the 'PINNED Up' remix EP was home to dancefloor reinterpretations from the likes of Michael Mayer, Marcus Worgull and Bawrut.

The second instalment 'PINNED Down' is an entirely different kettle of fish, taking Raunet’s compositions in a number of weird and wonderful directions. Peaking Lights provide a masterclass in dubbed-out disco with their blissful transformation of ‘Daughters’, while Kasra V’s meditative approach turns C.A.R.’s vocals into a faint spectral presence.
